ATIS reorients its commercial activities

On February 19, the Atis Group obtained court protection against its creditors under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act, in order to resolve short-term liquidity problems. After careful consideration of all possible alternatives carried out by the management of the Company over the past few months and following consultations with its legal advisors, the Board of Directors of the Company has determined that it is in the interest of the Company and all its stakeholders to initiate a restructuring of its finances and operations under the CCAA. The company would otherwise not have been able to adequately restructure its business.


As a result of this restructuring, the Atis Group announced on February 22 the closure of 19 of its stores in Quebec, as well as the closure of its Terrebonne plant and its head office located in Brossard. The other sites and factories of the Atis Group located in Quebec, Ontario and the Maritimes remain in operation,

I am a residential customer who has placed an order with Atis, what will happen with it?

Please rest assured, all orders will be honored. The Atis Group is determined to meet the expectations of all its customers.

We have paid a deposit on an order. Are we going to lose it?

No. It is the intent of Atis Group to continue to meet customer demand and to honour all outstanding orders. Atis Group will continue to honour and comply with any customer deposits or pre-payments.

We have paid a deposit on an order. Is it possible to have it reimbursed?

Deposits are not refundable. The Atis Group is committed to honoring all pending orders and remains determined to meet the expectations of its customers.

Will there be any interruptions in production that will affect me?

The Atis Group has reviewed its manufacturing strategy in Quebec and relocated the production of certain current products. We make all the necessary efforts to minimize the impact on production.

Will the current situation cause delays in receiving my order?

Due to the current situation linked to the pandemic, we are experiencing delays from our suppliers on certain components. This situation is not exclusive to the Atis Group and we make every effort to minimize delays.

I have an order with installation, and I haven’t received an install date, is this normal?

Yes. Each customer will be contacted over the next few weeks to confirm an installation date.

I called customer service and left a message, but I haven’t heard back from you. Should I be worried?

Please rest assured, each customer who left a message will be called back by an agent as soon as possible. We are currently receiving a higher call volume than usual, which explains longer delay for call return. Thank you for your understanding.
